About Munira

Hi there!  I'm Munira, a mom, a devoted physiotherapist and your ally in core and pelvic floor health.

Having experienced firsthand the profound impact of pregnancy on the body, I understand how you can have overwhelming gratitude for what your body accomplished during pregnancy and delivery, while also feeling weighed down by the physical toll of it all.

It can be hard to figure out if what you’re going through is a normal part of the process or if it’s something that can be improved upon. What I’m here to tell you is that you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

In my 15 years of experience in working with women and teaching fellow professionals around the globe, I can say that it is possible to feel like yourself again after having kids, and it’s much easier to get there when you have someone to support you.

I recently moved to Edmonton after establishing two busy women's health practices in Toronto, where I developed a passion for all aspects of pre- and post-natal care, particularly diastasis rectus abdominis and post-tummy tuck rehabilitation. My extensive experience in the field has fueled my desire to create and share credible, evidence-based information with both patients and professionals. I have shared my knowledge and passion for these conditions at several national and international conferences and regularly teach about diastasis rectus abdominis to physiotherapy and fitness groups worldwide

My approach, however, has little to do with me and is entirely centered on being there for you. I'll make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way and welcome any and all questions you may have.

As a mom myself, I know that it isn't easy coordinating logistics so you can step away and do something for you, so when it comes time for your appointment, I will make sure you get the most out of each session. I see our time together not as a physiotherapy session, but as an essential dose of self-care.

To me, your health matters, your well-being matters, and above all, you matter!

Munira
